Default Steven Massey We Beg You (DTM)

I was using DTM today and am having a tough time swallowing that the next PT update will likely make this plug in useless to me. So while I am waiting for stem files to print off, I thought I would see who is with me on this one.

Maybe if we make enough noise, Steven will bring it back.

All in favor, let your voices be heard and don't be afraid to tell your friends about this thread.

May DTM live on, even in a paid way. This plug in saved many days/hours/months of my life. Money can't buy that time back, but maybe, just maybe it can get the plug in back!

Some links for those who think that Digi is stopping this plug in.

What have those links got to do with the topic?

FWIW, Steve has been one very quiet mouse of late.

Either he's working hard undercover or something's happened to him...

It has been speculated that DIGI is stopping him from selling or distributing DTM. I am not sure whether that is true or not, but this is Digi's house and I am saying that perhaps there is more to the story with this plug in. They have licened Mackie to use the Onyx mixer, perhaps they can also license Steve if that was indeed the case. (Which I don't personally think it is)

Why would Digi care what Steve is giving away?

The speculation I heard was that a company that he used to work for (can't recall) has something that uses a similar technology and they may have stopped him...

Anyway, check this out:

http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=258929

This seems like a viable alternative and not too much $ (yet)..

It's supposed to be in the works for RTAS and MAC, too..

The company is TL. TL was bought by DIGI and made DRUM REHAB, a very promising plug in that for some reason or other was shelved and is VERY broken. They still sell it though

Hence the reason I posted the links about AVID giving Mackie permission.

I have seen that and a few others. I have all I need though. I use a sampler to trigger samples I make in a great studio with great gear. I just need an Audio to Midi converter.

This one also looks promising though

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-p...nt-plugin.html

But I still think that Massey is on to something no one else has got yet. REHAB triggered very well. So does DTM. I have not yet tried any plug in that can trigger as accurately as those two plugs. Coincidentally, he coded both.

Perhaps Digidesign has "bought" DTM and plans to integrate it into PT9 (or some other company bought it.) Pure speculation.

Either way, I'm looking forward to Slate's "Trigger:" http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-p...nt-plugin.html

EDIT: Ah, Kris, ya beat me to it!
