003 - not connecting to computer

Hello,
My hardware 003 is not connecting to the iMAC (it's a common problem on the forum but still I cannot find a solution). The Host 1394 LED is not blinking (with or without PT9 activated). Cables are OK, iMAC interface is OK.
Definitively the problem comes from the DIGI interface. I would like to be sure that I have the latest firmware version inside. I did the update but how can I be sure that it was loaded ? Here are the info I get from the utility - version display :

Boot 56A8 System 4FA8 Fader Hardware
b7.3.0.116 v8.0.0.314 v8.0.0.314 00.32

Is that the latest version ?

Also if there is no connection between the computer and the interface , then I cannot update the firmware ! what would be the solution ?

I've tried already via the playback engine but as the 003 is not connected to the computer it's not listed in the playback engine menu.

Please let me know what would be the display of the 003 showing the last firmware version

Try a new firewire cable. They can fail for no reason(trust me, I've seen it). Also, if you hot-patched it, you may have fried the firewire board in either the computer or the 003(I hope you didn't as its a costly repair).

Thx for your answer.
Of course since many days I already used 3 different cables … without success and for any reason I can not idendify the connection between the hardware and PT is back … with the original cable. Still I cannot use the interface with itunes.

One simple question stay unanswered and I don't find info about :
What should be the last and current firmware version displayed on the 003 hardware ?
Could some user with a stable running 003 + PT9 (if that exist !) send me the firmware version of the 003 ? You get it when the console is off line and by pressing "utility" followed by "EQ"
