"Be There" snare drum sound

Does anone have a clue on how to get a similar sound to the snare drum on the "Be There" demo?

It's so dry and powerfull!

Yeah -- with the selector tool, drag over a snare hit in the "Be There" snare track, choose Edit>Copy and paste it into your own session!

Also if you listen to commercial stuff, you'll find better snares.

I don't like the song .
I didn't say it's the best snare sound I ever heard in my life.
I know drums,and drum tuning. You can't get that sound just changing a head,or tunning differently.

Aw, I don't think it's such a bad tune -- you just get sick of it after listening to it 400 times while learning PT!

I'd say the things that make the snare sound good are:
the instrument
the player
mic placement
a little compression
and a good ear.

I guess those are the basics.
