Default Known PT10 export corrupt wav files??

Hi I just heard there's a known issue with PT 10 exporting corrupt wav files. I searched on duc but I didn't get the answer. So I'm here to ask: Is this true? Will this affect the audio quality? or it's just add some non-useful information to the exported wavs?

Thanks!

No issues here either, and I export many .wav's on a daily basis.

Same here. No problems and have never heard that there is a known issue about this.

I have not seen any corrupt wav files yet. Where did you hear about this?

Have to agree with the crowd. No issues here either. Maybe you need to consider the source?

Hi, there's an issue with multichannel wav files exported with PT10. This is not a bug. Avid has changed the channel order and some header information in the file, to respect the standard.

Have a look on this thread http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=319407

For most of people, this change doesn't affect anything. On my side, and maybe for few others, the 7.1 wav files exported with PT10 are not recognized by the broadcast system used where I work. Files exported with PT9 and earlier are fine. Kind of odd..

This may relate to that - I recently upgraded to 10.3 and I just noticed that on my system WAV files created by "Export Clips As Files..." don't show up in Snapper. Empty nothingness. AIFFs and MP3's from the same source clip work normally. The WAV files are not corrupted - they open in PT and QT.

Sounds like Snapper has a problem reading unknown chunks (which it should ignore).... That's a Snapper problem not a PT problem
