Looking for a used MC Mix on ebay. What to keep in mind?

The auction says, it comes without Eucon Software.
I tried to do download it from the euphonix page beforehand, but it says I need the s/n of the hardware.
Is this somehow bound to the current owner? Or can I use it without any kind of transfer from the current owner's account?
Does Eucon need an iLok license, that has to be tranfered?

Hi, I purchased Mc Mix on eBay just over 1 month ago. Same thing here.
I was able to register it by entering the serial number. The thing is they also asked asked when & where I purchased the unit. I simply entered a faked date & well know seller (Sweetw...)I was able to register to my name and download updates & manuals.
Maybe I was lucky because the original owner never registered the unit in the first place, I don't know.
Knowing this today, I would verify with the owner if the unit has been registered, and I would also check with Euphonix about their transfer policy.
