Default OS X 10.4.4 .PTLE quit in my session last night.

Don't ask me how I got to 10.4.4. I'm really scrupulous about not jumping the gun on upgrades.

Last night in a fairly simple session, PTLE 7.0 quit twice. Gypsies, fairies? The Report Crash window came up, but the SEND button was grayed out.

I repaired permissions and restarted and it soon quit again. Restart, repair and (fingers crossed) we were OK.

Anyone else have this problem?

Regards,

Ty Ford

I've had the problem upon quitting PT only.

Sometimes I quit Pro Tools and am greeted by the screen from hell. I restart the computer, run Permissions, and go on with my work. I have noticed that After quitting and getting the black screen the cache is in the folder of the current PT session. Not sure if that means anything.

Not scrupulous enough though!

10.4.4 is not supported, you'd need to revert back to 10.4.3

Unexpectedly quit error messages can usually be dealt with by doing the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.

Thanks for what to toss out.

Question. In my users Lib.Preferences folder I have BOTH com.digidesign.protools.plist and com.digidesign.protoolsLE.plist.

The toss document does not mention the LE pref.

Does that get tossed as well?

Do both get tossed?

Thanks,

Ty Ford
