10.7.2 & PT 9.0.5 problems?
I see a lot of people have had problems, but also many have not had problems....
I had upgraded to Lion, then upgraded to 9.0.5 , experienced problems... Then I uninstalled PT and reinstalled PT 9 from my install DVD, downloaded the 9.0.5 upgrade patch, downloaded the drivers for my Mbox 2 Pro.... Installed the drivers, then installed the 9.0.5 upgrade, still get the same problem. Upon the end of the Pro Tools launch I get the "Pro Tools unexpectedly quit" message. Is there any good solution for this? Am I better off going back to Snow Leopard? Thanks MacBook 2.4 Ghz Intel Core Duo 2 4GB RAM |

Which of the troubleshooting steps have you done from the General Troubleshooting thread?

Re: 10.7.2 & PT 9.0.5 problems?
I've searched this site for "general troubleshooting" thread and have not found such a title... could you provide a link please?
Like I've said, I first upgd to 9.0.5 after I installed Lion, not realising that Lion removed stuff from PT. So I uninstalled and did a full install of 9.0.5, no luck.... Then I uninstalled again. Re-installed 9 from my DVD. Installed drivers from Avid site. d/led the 9.0.5 patch again and applied it... no luck If you could provide a link to the General Troubleshooting thread I'd go through it and try the things mentioned there, but I don't see such a thread here... Thanks! |

Re: 10.7.2 & PT 9.0.5 problems?
OK, so I updated Waves, I downloaded the Pro Tools Preference and Database Helper and removed the pref's and such. I Verified my HD, the Repair Permissions selection was unavailable - couldn't select it.
Other than the plug's that PT comes with, I have Waves Musicians 1 and 2 and Renn Max and TransX, and Digi Smack! I am assuming that the Waves are compatible since I just ran the new Waves installer and reinstalled the latest versions of them. Is there anything that came with PT 9.0 that is incompatible with 9.0.5? The load splash page goes all the way up to Xpand! and then just completely disappears with the "Unexpectedly Quit" message showing up. I have restarted after the different procedures I took, still no good.... I have a MacBook 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB Ram MBox 2 Pro firewire |

Re: 10.7.2 & PT 9.0.5 problems?
It quits after Xpand. Im having the exact same problem... Im not gonna lie, this is super frustrating... i've never been able to use pro tools at all on 9.0.5. Do you have any ideas on why it won't work? Im running on 10.7.2 with pro tools 9.0.5
