RTAS/Native alternatives to Soundtoys Soundblender and Purepitch
These have been long time goto plugins for me when doing scifi stuff, but I am moving from TDM to LE and realized there are no native verions of these plugins. Can anyone recommend similar plugins that have an RTAS and or VST/AU version?

Re: RTAS/Native alternatives to Soundtoys Soundblender and Purepitch
Kind of what I figured. I did find an article from about a year ago suggesting that they are working on a native version, but nothing more than that.

it's funny how some oldschool plugs are so... good. I just recently re-discovered d3 compressor.. wasn't it like the first plugin comp ever? sry for OT :)

That's always been a goto comp for me too. Same with the EQ.
Then there's Lexiverb... |

yes, if lexicon would go and recode it for TDM OSX and sold it for $200 I think everyone would buy it. It should be easy for them. It was so efficient that even the old merle dsp card was able to handle several if memory serves me well.

I have been looking for Native versions for these PI's for awhile, no such luck. Nothing sounds like what pitch blender does. It's aggravating.

PSP Nitro has been useful for me. It's not Soundtoys but it has merit. It's also worth listening to their multi delay plug PSP608 http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/spectron/ Izotopes Spectron and Trash are good at mangling things. Neither of these are time/pitch based but perhaps they are worthy of a listen. |
