Day 4 Still not working!
Can't upload Projects for collaboration now with errors. This is so frustrating because the errors are like "wack a mole" what was working yesterday now today does not work |

I think I have a related problem--I can't log in AND I can't log into Pro Tools locally*. First, I am a newbie--had Pro Tools First for 2 weeks (came bundled with a Scarlett USB interface); running on a MacBook Pro/MacOS 10.14.6. I had flaky behavior the past 3 days, had to do a number of force quits and system restarts, then it got worse and now get errors just trying to log back in. The first is in the popup, "an error occurred while processing your request . Ref #97.(...about 30 digits)" If I blow away the popup, the dashboard says "You must be signed in to access projects in the cloud" (even though I only want to run locally). Clicking on Sign In gives an error 502 Bad Gateway.
* I just tried again and I got in, but I am going to post this because I have been here before and it's hard to work with multiple Pro Tools hangups, force quits, and system restarts daily. |

Whoops, can't download my project from the cloud: in Task Manager: "Failed: Hard Fail". In the meantime, I discovered that First is always cloud storage.

Avid Cloud broken AGAIN
Approximately once every couple weeks, I cannot sign into Avid Link, getting the error:
"The Avid Login service cannot be reached. Please try again later. Error #504"And when I attempt to sign into Pro Tools to see my Projects, the sign-in times out, not even presenting a dialogue box to enter my email and password. I COULD open a ticket, and keep bugging Avid, but usually the problem goes away after a day. BUT, I've lost a day of production work waiting for the Avid cloud servers to come back on line. And ultimately, the problem just happens again. AVID - you REALLY need to rethink your server infrastructure. I don't know if you're managing them yourselves or outsourcing, but these extended server outages are totally unacceptable. Many of us make our living using Pro Tools and rely on collaboration. Bottom line - GET A RELIABLE FAILOVER SYSTEM implemented and stop this madness!

not working here either.
nothing like paying for something and not being able to use this service. Avid management needs to address this immediately. During these days studios are closed and many of us have lost our ability to earn a living. I am not doing this as hobby Pro Tools in my studio is how i provide a living wage for my family. I see zero sense of urgency on Avid's part to fix this. |

I’ve never used the cloud until this last week for a bass guitar part and it’s broken. To think I paid $1600 for this upgrade. SMH!

it works late at night or early in the morning and and on the weekends.
But during the day its more miss than hit. The unfortunate thing is that you cannot access locally cached projects unless you are online and signed in. I would not complain if it was free. But I am paying for something that is not 100% reliable - I am smelling a credit card chargeback. but if you have access to a VPN it does help logging in from elsewhere that leads me to believe its for sure a server issue with the Web Hosting company for Avid Cloud. And if they are using AWS and not Microsoft they are in for world of hurt right now b/c AWS is experiencing and lot of issues these days. |
