"No movie present" when importing video
Hello All,
I'm importing this video file into Pro Tools 10.3.8 and I'm not being able to see it playing back in the Pro Tools video window. I'm using a 48 Khz 24 bit session with time code rate set to 23.976. Also, I have CPTK. I can see the little photorams in the video track (the ones that show you a preview of the position) and I get no errors when importing it. But the video window just says "No movie present". If I open the video file in Quick Time Pro or Windows Media Player, it plays back just fine. This is the first time I see this problem. I don't work a lot with video files, but when I do, they can be imported just fine into Pro Tools and be seen in the video window. Any ideas of what can be wrong? Can you maybe download the video from the link I gave you and try to import it into Pro Tools to see if you have the same issue? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: "No movie present" when importing video
first is the Video Track online, the little O button is illuminated
second there are no / in the file path correct third try coveting the file to a motion-JPEG, Pro Tools doesn't like mp4 video files

I tried converting the file to a QT movie with Quick Time Pro, but even when Quicktime can play the file perfectly fine, it doesn't like something about it when exporting it even with the same settings, and it creates just a white screen video. I was hoping someone had some experience with this issue. Maybe a good recomendation on what software to use to convert the file into another format easily and hopefully for free? Looking for "video converters" in Google gets you to one of the most saturated areas full of programs with limitations (watermarks, time limit, etc) or even malware. Thanks in advance, Francisco

Re: "No movie present" when importing video
yes, the slash is the path folder separation
but there are editors that love to use it in the name of the file or folder for date or version number MPEG Streamclip is a popular converter http://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home...vid-dnxhd.html
