Default Problems with iLok key [solved]

Hello ! :)

Everything was working fine : Protools, iLok key, etc.

Today I had to install the latest iLok License Manager. And the problems began...

I can no longer use Protools because it asks me to activate the product. When I try, it says it can't find any license...

In the iLok License Manager, the iLok appears as greyed... If I do something like trying to synchronize, it says the source location is not connected.

So I installed a system backup on my computer. Everything went back to normal, but it asked me to install the iLok License Manager again, which I did again and the problem started again...

Is there a way to fix this problem ?

Have you tried plugging the iLok into a different USB port? Are you sure your license is current?

I've tried all tips I found on the Internet, but it didn't work.

If I understand well, the latest iLok License Manager also installs the driver for the iLok key. It seems like it doesn't install it on my system (Windows 7)...

Anyway, I've installed a new hard drive with Windows 8.1 and it's working fine now. :)

And don't forget to turn off power savings measures to the USB ports in Windows Control Panel.
