Default 003 repair

I was having a problem keeping my 003 light-piped to my Apogee Rosetta 800.
Then I noticed the connector on the adat output is a little loose. When I select optical it reverts back to internal.

Has anyone ever seen this issue. Where can I get parts or get it fixed.

I only use the 003 as a way to get my Rosetta 800 into my mac and for the faders.

If the repair is to much what are good alternatives.

If your handy with a soldering iron I'd take it apart and see if the solder joints at the connector have broken loose ( assuming it's board mounted which most connectors are now).
If it's a console I would get a camera and take photos as I take it apart.

I am pretty sure it is the adat optical housing itself. I have removed and reinserted the adat cables hundreds of times when I used to take it out for remote recordings.
I am good with a soldering iron (accept the time it fell and I reached to catch it, ouch) so if I can get the optical connector replacement piece I can replace it.
I am going to start taking it apart and I will take pictures. I have replace thousands of boards in my previous job so the worst I can do is give up and take it in.

Thanks

Hopefully you can get a part number off it.
If not, it's probably listed as a fiber optic transmitter module.

Does anybody know if I can buy the Toslink Adat optical connectors that are in the 003?

I would think digikey or mouser should have replacements. Never done it, but they have tons of connectors ect.

I called a place in Nashville and the guy really helped me.
There is a little door that covers up the optical hole. When the lightpipe
cable is inserted, it folds up and helps seat the cable so the fiber optic connection is solid.
He suggested I insert a matchstick above the cable and make it seat and it works!!!!!

I still will fix it but at least I can work.
CME thanks for the lead I will check them out.
