I believe this is 3+1 mode. The first 3 sticks will be interleaved correctly however stick 4 just gets tacked onto a single channel. Gives you more RAM but inconsistent performance across the entire memory. Uses sockets 1,2,3 & 5 as the op states. My gigabyte mb supports this although I use only triple channel myself.

For now I will stay with the 4 sticks since PT runs with less CPU load. When I took the 4th stick out it ran with a bit more CPU load. So till I buy the new RAM i'll stay like this.

Yes you're right the 2nd socket is the one that runs tacked to a single channel.
