What happens if you create a new session?

This happened to me after I installed Windows XP service pack 2 - it was annoying and frustrating. As soon as I uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled SP1 the problems were gone.

>>go to XP<<

Howdy neighbor !
I've just moved my operations from TO to Brian Hewson's place. I love the country vibe ...

Previous thread about access violations

You need to see what happens with another session or if you create a new one to find out if the session file is corrupt. Hiding your head in the sand and ignoring that question won't help you figure out your problem.

awsome lemix brians place is very nice
unfortunatly i don't have that kind of operation hehe but i do have the same board he used to use years ago (AMD 32 X 32 X 16 production series )
anyhow i started a new session and just imported all the audio files and bingo it all worked out fine. i guess the session file was corrupt or something..

OK, before I go into more detail, please remember this ;
You should listen to and carefully follow Rail's advice. If there is anyone here who knows everything about PT, he is your man.
Ok now...I think Brian mentioned selling his old board to someone in Georgetown. That must be you then..
I have just moved in in June and only had a couple of mastering and mixing sessions there.
Still exploring his board the D&R Avalon. The way channels and monitors interact is all new to me.
Not a big deal, just way too many options and possible routing scenarios.
(only worked on Ameks, MCIs, Neoteks and Neves before)
I should drop by and visit you one day. I normally take 401 to 25 and straight up, but could do the hwy 7 thing. Are you right on it ?
Anyway, glad your session worked out. Why still on W98, if I may ask ?

cheers,
