the delay is not on pressing play. the delay is on if I adjust a plugin or volume/pan control, I don't hear it immediately.

when using ata and latency compensation in general, it is "holding" the audio back on the track for a specified amount of samples. depending on the amount of samples it is being "held" back WILL change how quick you hear changes made to anything on that i/o. so if you have 1200 samples of delay going it will take that long after the change is made to hear it. with ata capable of 5000 or more samples of delay applied to a track, that would take a few to hear your changes. hope that makes sense??
