imported session data overwrites current automation!?
Hi All!
I have 2 sessions one with a "short" version of a show, and one "long" version.(They are exact copies but the short version has 1min thats cut out from the middle part) I started mixing the short version and ended up with a result a wanted to apply to the long. I thought that having the both session in same session should be the best way. I used import session data from the "short" session to import the "long" and used the following settings: -- * Audiomedia options - Consolidate from source media * Trackoffsett options 02:00:00:00 (My short version starts at 01:00:00:00) * Match Tracks * Main playlist options - Overlay new on existing playlist -- The problem is that when the new session data is imported it clears the automation from the current session. Is there a way to do this without losing automation? regards benny |

Re: imported session data overwrites current automation!?
Try it the old way. Import to new tracks (do not match tracks), cut-paste from new tracks to your destination tracks (you can do a few tracks at a time or the whole thing), delete the new tracks once they are empty.

Also,
try importing regions and media only ... disable all other options including 'Volume Automation' from the pop-up list in the import dialog. |
