Akai VIP 3.0
Is anyone here familiar with the Akai VIP 3.0 software? If I understand it correctly, it can serve as a VST host in Pro Tools, and has a unique way of organizing all your VSTs, their patches, and so forth, and you can create multis using several different VSTs. I suppose in that respect it is similar to Blue Cat Audio Patchwork.
But it does appear to have some other features as well, such as allowing your midi controller greater control and mapping for several parameters via MIDI. Does anyone have experience with VIP? Does it work well in Pro Tools? Is it worth it?
