Venue/S3L-X iPad app

Hi!

I would LOVE to get a dedicated tablet app besides VNC connection.
To have a second screen with plugin, graphics or a separate channel open without changing the view in the console itself is very helpful.
Also this would help multi operator access for channel and output naming, send to MTX, monitoring assistance, snapshot reordering, plugin activation in snapshots, recall safe etc in event and multiple band settings. It also memes it a lot quicker to jump between operations like snapshot editing and mixing.

After DiGiCo releases (its mostly ready) their app, all D and SD systems will work with the same app. This will make AVID pretty much alone among top 10 used consoles without dedicated tablet app. Obviously its a desired feature for more techheads then me

It's the most requested feature on ideascale.

It would be silly to think that we implemented about 300 of the other top features from ideascale into the S6L, but chose to ignore this one

Will there be a big update to get it closer to the S6 instead of hanging with the "older" venue systems?

Ryan told that they are working on it, and yes, it is the most requested feature on ideascale.
But from an answer like the one I got ( even if it might have been a joke) I suppose it is not something with a high priority for avid.

Yeah, development is so slow I'm thinking about trying to sell my S3L and pick up a Midas and Waves.

I really like the Pro 2 I've been working with for the last 7 months, and I really like that it has an iPad app that I can use with it. It's great to walk the room with, EQ wedges, and mix monitors right beside my on stage talent during sound check. If I sell the S3L-X it'll be a Pro2c and Soundgrid for me. It would be nice if Midas would come out with a Pro2c-X with additional onboard processing.
