002 Rack with ProTools (not LE)
Apologies if this is answered elsewhere but can't find it.
Does anyone know whether the 002 Rack will operate with ProTools? We're running a Mix+ system on the main G4 (v6.1 in OS10.2.6) but it would be cool to be able to use a 002 Rack for extra connections. Thanks. Rod.

Re: 002 Rack with ProTools (not LE)
A mix+ system allows for 32 channels of I/O. You can probably find a clearance mix farm card and a used/clearance 888|24 for about the same price as a 002r.
I'd suggest if you have the money, exchanging the mix core and farm cards for either a hd2 or hd3 accel system and exchanging at least one of the interfaces for a 192, get the additional 8 analog in card, and hook up two of your interfaces to the legacy port. That would give you 32 I/O on a much improved system (8 of those outputs would have to be digital). To add more I/O to that system, you'd have to get another HD interface.
