Its easier than all that. Let's say you want to slice up a sample into 8 slices. You then want to trigger them off one module in Structure, with each slice assigned to a specific trigger note, say C3-C4.

First slice your audio track into the 8 slices, and make each slice a separate clip on the track. Naming each clip is important here for importing to Structure and having the clips go to the correct trigger note.

I use a format like "Clip1 C3", "Clip2 D3"....etc.

Once all that is done, open your clip list on the right side, and export each clip you want to import to Structure as a Wav file and put into an easy to find file location on your drive.

How, you can import all those clips at once into Structure into one module in Structure. Tell Structure to look for "filename note" where filename is your clip name and note is the "C3" or "D3" or whatever notes you want them to go to. (Consult the Structure manual for more info on how that works). If you did this correctly, than each of your 8 slices or clips will now reside in one module in Structure each assigned to its own specific trigger not.

Now, all you have to do is create the MIDI track you want to play all the samples, and of course, you can edit the samples to taste.

No need to put each slice on an individual track in PT or have only one slice per module in Structure. What's really nice is that you could expand the range of trigger notes for each slice in Structure and stretch them across as many octaves as you wish.

Once you get how this works, you can do the whole thing in less than 10 minutes...not including post-import editing, which takes as long or short as necessary for taste!

Wow! Thanks for sharing that tip DonaldM! Much more elegant & efficient than my workaround! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
