Default Using HDX interface to record to Ableton
Before I got Pro Tools Ultimate software I could open Ableton and use the Avid HD I/O to record audio in Ableton. Now, when I run Ableton (Pro Tools is not running), the HD I/O doesn't see the signal coming in from the preAmp. Any suggestions (besides abandoning PT or Ableton)?

Presonus PreAmps lightpipe into
Avid HD I/O
using Mac Pro (2013)
OS 10.14.6 (Mojave)

Software: Pro Tools Ultimate
Ableton Live 10 Suite

Thanks in advance (I hope it's good news... i.e. a simple fix)

There appears to be a specific issue between Live and the HDX CoreAudio driver. It's been discussed here a few times already, e.g. here. I have an open support case with Ableton.

please clarify.
Your HD I/O was only connected via lightpipe.
No digilink (HDnative card or HDX card)
No HD driver installed
Is this correct?

Ableton are aware of a specific issue with the interaction of the Avid HD CoreAudio drivers and Ableton Live. There is no timeline for fixing it at this stage unfortunately.

Hi Luke, was there a resolution to this? I want to install Live 10 on my Mac (PT Ultimate 2020.3.0, HDX, 2 x HD I/O) but it sounds like the Avid CoreAudio driver won't work. Thanks.
