The last compatiblilty document that lists a d24 with farm cards ( not mix) as "supported" is PT 6.1.
I know that "supported" simply means " not tested" in some cases. Hence, here's what the Digi website says about a d24 card and PT 6.4.1:
Quote:
Q: Does Pro Tools 6.4.1 software support Pro Tools|24 MIX systems that use the Pro Tools|24 Core card?
A: "Hybrid" configurations which use the original Pro Tools|24 d24 card in combination with a MIX card have not been tested, and therefore are not supported. However, we have no reason to believe that it will not work.

Obviously, 6.4.1 will work with a d24 in place of the Mix core. So my question is, since I have "farm" DSP cards not "mix" DSP cards, can I only use PT 6.1? Or can anyone verify that 6.4.1 does indeed work with a d24 and farms. (BTW, I have read the requirements for farm cards in a PC and my serial numbers are all revs that are qualified.)
I currently have PT 5.1.1 and can upgrade to 5.3.1 via download. Since 6.x was a paid upgrade, there are no downloads. And the digistore only offers an upgrade path to 6.4.1. If I can go on to 6.4.1, I'd like to. If I have to stop at 6.1, I suppose I'll have to contact Digi to get it.
