Default Are there free plug-ins online?

Hi,

This might be an ignorant quetion, but I would like to know the answer.

There're tons of downloadable free
apllications and plug-ins online.
Are there downloadable free RTAS plug-ins?
(or applications for PT?)

Thanks in advance.

One word. Soundhack!

That's probably the best freeware effects processor there is, it's not audiosuite, you run it as a seperate application.

One if it's best features is the varispeed, it's a lot better than Vari-Fi in someways.

It can also do some pretty unique stuff like separate the transient and sustained frequency of a sound so you can create some crazy ambient stuff with it. It's also got the only timestretcher I've ever heard that won't make anything sound metalic, even if it's slowed down by 400% or something.

I recently did a mix of Nu School Breaks and Drum n' bass using only soundhack and protools, it started at 130Bpm or so and ended at over 160Bpm, you'd be hard pushed to spot the tempo changes I've made it's that smooth.

Anyway, you can download it from soundhack.com, it's got a wierd little interface and an even wierder naming scheme for the files which also adds to how cool it is.

The "ONLY" timestretcher you've heard that won't make things sound metalic?
SPEED is one of the best. Have you tried that? No metalic sounding material.
