Default Color Palette Window- Great Shortcut

Not sure how late to the party I am but i've just discovered a great shortcut for bringing up the Color Palette window in ProTools which I can't believe i've missed:

Double click on the very top of the channel in the arrange window or the very left of the channel in the mix window.

Amazing! Hope this helps anyone else who this missed this trick.

It's basically anywhere you see the color. Next to the name in the Edit window, and at the top and bottom of the Mix Window. Provided that you've got Track Color showing of course!!

Or you just add a key command with the System preferences (on Mac) or with Quickeys (mac or pc) :)

I heavily use the color palette and I couldn't work without a shortcut to open the palette.

Cheers

Cool :)

I use window config for this. ", 1 *" brings up the color palette.

I've never done this. How do you go about it on a Mac?

Thanks,

tg

Open System Preferences then

Keyboard

shortcut tab

App Shortcuts (on Mavericks, other version may have this menu somewhere else)

Add the Application with the Plus button, then write exactly the name of the menu (for the color palette, write Color Palette), and assign a key command (I use control+c)

You can add key commands to any function that has a menu name this way.

Hope it helps

Cheers
