Do you know if Pro-Tools has any sort of diagnostic logging that can be enabled to troubleshoot what is happening when this occurs?

They should have, however I am a lowly user like yourself.

There should be a moderator on this thread that will be able to find out more information of that type.

But yeah they probably have something like that don't think, we will ever see those tools, probably more of an in house trouble shooting software

I believe it will show extra info when you hold ctrl+start+alt and click the Play button in the transport window. I'm not sure any of the info shown will be of any use, but I remember finding this one by accident.
