Audio playback stops during bounce

Just wanted to see if anyone had some help they could offer before I cashed in on some phone support.

I'm having an issue where I'm losing the audio during bounces. Currently running on PT8, but just upgraded from 7.4 about 2 months ago. Smooth sailing about 99% of the time, but this problem stumps me like crazy. This (so far) has only happened on sessions that were created while I was on 7.4, but everything I have tried to make it go away has failed. I've tried trashin prefs, dropping to 1 processor, switching buffers, engines... all fail. I've even tried saving session copies, starting new sessions and importing audio... nothing.

Am I missing something that's really simple or is there a bigger problem underlying?

I'm running HD3 on PT8 on an 8 core MacPro with 32gb of ram. The cards are in a Magma chassis...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Several things!

you could use bounce to track instead? route your entire mix to an audio track and record it to the track then use export region and export as stereo interleaved.

Secondly your problem!! most common and important thing is to have ALL your plugins up to date and make sure there are no out of date or incompatible plugins in your plugs folder!! these plugs don't have to be in the session!! just having them in the folder they will load into the cache and cause all sorts of problems.

go through the plugin compatibility list and make sure.

I did try and bounce to a track, it worked well enough. While it was bouncing though I still wasn't able to hear the playback. The audio passed, but nothing was audible. I will try and check up on the plugins, but AFAIK, they're all solid. I just installed this entire system, and everything was installed from downloads that should be up to date.
