Just a note, as someone said we have no power on Avid decision, or something like that. I have to desgarre, we do have power, you only have to stop paying Avid, and you’ll see how things change.

for sure.

Sounds like you have a fairly in-depth work flow.. I’d be interested in learning about it if you could point me to any posts or articles where you describe things in more detail.

Yes. Cabin fever for sure.

I just spent a day trying to use Dolby Audio Bridge to get at least 64 tracks into Protools Ultimate, with no luck! (130x130) isn't really that.
It stops recording at channel 32.

This "work around" would have costed me an extra $400.00ish.
$299.00 for Dolby production suite and another $99.00 for Loopback.

I would pay Avid extra for this feature, just like paying for more audio tracks. I don't care about latency. I just want to record a band and do a virtual sound check and archive in protools. Computers now have more processing threads than Avid has as native i/o.

I do own a 16x16 hd native for overdubbing.

anyway...........

Hi all ...when I have those very few situations where I need more then 32 inputs...I use Cakewalk ..it`s even free now...sometimes I even do all midi editing in it , cause I find it much better then PT for midi...but then I always transfer everything to PT , cause I prefer to finish in PT and have the final Master in PT ....specially when I need to collaborate with other studios.

Peace.

Yeah it's free and was a great program (full disclosure - I started in Sonar when I ran a Windows system). And there's the rub - Cakewalk never put out a true Mac version. They did but it was a royal mess they threw their hands up on.
