ReelTapeDelay Console Crash

Today i got bored and tried to make some cool delays using a frequency sweep into reeltapedelay plugin. it took off on me and went into clip mode on the plugin. then it never responded to close while emitting a horrible burst of random noise. i had to shut down console and reboot.

anyone had this happen yet? tips on staying out of trouble , besides not doing things like this?

Hi,

Ouch, sorry to hear about this. For starters, make sure the latest version of Reel Tape is installed, as there were some bug fixes earlier this year.

The latest Reel Tape Suite is located as part of critical plug-ins download.

just got reel tape. great tool. however if i try to open session that has rt in it and the ilok is not in place it crashes pt. pt le 8.04 mac mini g5

interesting that i downloaded and installed rt before i received ilok license. pt would crash upon trying to load rt. got window that tried to authorize rt clicked quit and then crashed. after i got license pt would open even without ilok in place but a session with rt plug in will crash pt if ilok is not there. all other ilok plug ins would just be disabled. would be a problem if travelling with a session without ilok. cant open it

Sheldon, any reason this should be happening with a new console? Purchased in Sept, running 2.9.1. Plugin is 8.0.3, which is what the update has. Crashes randomly when using the Tap Tempo function. Last time instead of crashing the SC48 (which it has done twice), it added a digital click to the LR bus with the plug in muted, then out, and only fixed it when I actually removed it in config mode.
