Default Using with MacBookPro. "Pro Tools hardware is either not installed or used by another
MacBookPro running 10.5.8
I just installed LE7 on the MacBook. I am connecting Protools via Firewire 400 out of the rack in, FW 800, to the MBP. (Obviously using a 400>>800 FW cable.) The rack is recognized. I go to About This Mac, More Info, and the FW tab show the 003 recognized. However, the error message I get is "Pro Tools hardware is either not installed or used by another program".
Any ideas would be very helpful.

No version of PTLE7 is compatible with 10.5.x except for 7.4.2.

7.4 was a paid upgrade from previous versions of 7.

Thank you. I upgraded to 7.4.2. Do I need to download a separate driver in order to use my MacBook Pro with OS 10.5.8 and Protools LE?

You shouldn't.

What version of PT are you installing from? There should be a full 7.4.2 installer in your Avid account. If you installed a previous version first, uninstall it and then install 7.4.2 from scratch.

The disk I have is 7.3.cs1. I'd like to find the "full 7.4.2 installer in your Avid account" but I have no idea where to look. I do have an account as I did purchase the 003 a couple of years ago and registered it. Any ideas at all as to where to look for the full installer are very appreciated.
