Hardware Buffer Size
I've read some posts about changing the buffer size from 128 when tracking to 1024 when mixing, but when I do that I have problems with midi files being out of time.
Example: When I track demo stuff I use an electronic kit for drum sounds and mic live cymbals. When I change the buffer size the drums are out of sync with the hat & ride. HELP! |

Re: Hardware Buffer Size
Yeah, this is a problem...
You could try changing the midi offset to a negative value. You'll have to guess what value to use...maybe start with -1024 to start with and see how the timing sits. I don't know exactly what the midi timing values are, but if they are in samples, then the appropriate offset should be easy to figure out based on your buffer setting. Of course, if you then go back to 128 samples, all your midi will be ahead of the beat and you'll have to change it back. If you record all your midi instruments as audio files, then you don't have to worry about the midi/audio sync.
