weird things happening...

Hey everyone,

Okay...so far, after buying my digi002 rack...there are some things happening that are really annoying.

Number 1: When i open an application (like internet explorer for example), and my digi MME helper app includes internet explorer as a sound app..i will use it for some time, maybe play some sounds here and there..and then quit.

So i've quit, right? NOTHING is open now. Then, i go to open my pro tools application and it won't open because it says that "Digidesign software is in use by another application (-1133)" ..but how can this be when i just quit internet explorer??? it doesn't make any sense...

the same thing happens if i open IE and then quit it and try to open winamp..winamp won't play..i see the levels moving and stuff, but no sound! but if IE is quit, why won't it???

Number 2: Why isn't it possible to be able to have 2 or more apps open at the same time (like pro tools and internet explorer or pro tools and winamp) and have them both be able to play sound?
it seems pretty limiting in my opinion, no? anyone know any ways around this problem?

1. some webpages use quicktime for audio throughput. When you quit out of IE, make sure you quit out of QT as well.

1. When I quit IE, i look in my task manager..there is no quicktime open! unless it's hidden somehow. So, if that's not the problem, something weird is still happening...
