mykahl,

What would you recommend for timing of this RAM? web page

Like Guitardom, I set the timings according to the first page of this thread--5-5-5-15.

Thanks.
from your link...

Tech Spec
Capacity 2GB (2 x 1GB)
Speed DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Cas Latency 4
Timing 4-4-4-12
Voltage 2.1V
Heat Spreader Yes
Features SLI certified
Recommend Use High Performance or Gaming Memory

typically the DDR2 800 ram is designed to run at the tighter timings of 4-4-4-12. sunburst's post on page 1 is for those with DDR2 1066 ram whose timings typically have to be set looser, 5-5-5-15. so for your DDR2800 you should see a performance gain with the tighter settings of 4-4-4-12. hope that helps

finally finished all the drive transfers i had, then went to work!!

changed the ram settings, basic os tweaks, nothing crazy, and sunbursts bios settings from the first page.

hit 238-239 d verbs!!!! much happier and a bit calmer now!!

interested in overclocking a bit maybe soon, but in good shape. got a few more things to install then should be in good shape.

have not tried it with all my plugs installed, pulled them out for this test.

thanks guys, and glad to join the team

feels weird to leave the quadzilla page, been there since day 1....

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted their builds, I was no longer even able to run Pro Tools on my little P4 without errors popping, now I ran a rough reverb 2.0 test (I did not remove my other plug-ins including my VSTs) and got around 250 without any kind of overclock (I don't trust myself). Sunburst and Mykhal-I cannot say thanks enough. I am a computer building noob and would have been at an absolute loss without reading the great advice on this post. I could not be happier.
Thanks again-
Lickiss
