Default noob question? dont know where to look?

previously, when i would click anywhere on the track window, the blue thing on the min:secs or Bars|beats line at the top would follow along. but now, i have to click on the top in order for the track to play at that area, as oppose to just clicking on any area in the track area.

i dont even know where to look for that in the duc.

any help? even if its just what its called so i can try and find the answer. any help is appreciated.

Yes. You need to click on the selector tool button. I'm running 7.3 and it's the middle button in the bank of five square buttons to the left of the main counter. It's between the grabber(hand)tool and the trim(arrows)tool....looks like wav with a line through it.

just found it, you pointed me in the right direction, actually its the "Link timeline and edit selection" button,

its right under the hand grabber tool, in LE8.

but thanks, i probably would of never looked there... lol, i was in the preferences and settings clicking things, applying, testing, unclicking, and continuing, it was so annoying. thank you.
