when only hitting space bar it records

When I am recordnig and some times editing/mixing I hit space bar and tools will try to record even though I only hit space bar. The record button on the transport will be blinking and to stop it I just click on it and it will stop. Is it a preferance I am missing.

Try another keyboard. Sounds like you have a sticky Command key.

sounds like he has fast fingers rather than a stick command key. As PT is incrementing it's version numbers the interface gradually and slowly becomes slower. I have this this issue all the time on more than one mac. For intstance. After I do a loow rec wiht preroll enabled when I come back in and wanna hear what i just did I wanna swtich off preroll and this I do by hitting command+k immediately after I hit space (to play) only PT will start to record. Either my hands have gotten immensely faster or PT's UI has gotten slower..h.
