Pro tools 8 installation software frozen on start

I have a dell Inspiron 1720 ,Windows Vista Home premium edition, 32 Bit 2.00 GB hard drive, Intell (R) Core (TM) Duo CPU, when i put in the pro tools le intallation CD that came with my new MBOX 2 Mini, it freezes as sooon as the box that says "welcome to pro tools LE installer" I just get a grey box with no text, even if I wait 8 hours, nothing happens, I unplugged all other devises from my computer, I checked to see if I had Windowss Explorer 8, I didn't see it on my computer, I cleaned the disc, I rebooted my computer, I tryed opening it from deck top, other Icons like uninstall respond on the disc. ,please help,,,going POSTAL,,,thinking class action law suite...HELP

P.S. it shows I have Internet Explorer 7,,so the problem with 8 is not an issue.

Have you tried running the installer as administrator?

Right-click on the installer and select "Run as Administrator".

Yes I have,,same frozen grey box

Would you please read through the General Troubleshooting post and follow the instructions at the end for posting your computer information using the SiSoft Sandra software?

I'll do anything, my eyes are going cross and blurry, I can't find the information you are asking me to read

Are you Kidding??? I just did it and the software does not allow you to copy,,it will take me a year to copy and past everything on that,,can you narrow it down??

Choose "Computer Overview".
At the very bottom of the info window that opens, second icon from the left, "Copy To Clipboard".
