Pro Tools 2018-7 speed/response issue

Hi all,

last year i was running 12.7 (subscription) perfectly on 10.12.6 on a mac pro (dustbin) with no issues. Madi convertor set up (2 x antelope orion 32 and RME madiface)

i left the subsciption service and have just returned. i installed 2018-7 last night and have a noticable issue when jumping around on the sequence timeline to listen to different track parts

When i do this the audio stops rather than jump to the selected position.

The project is an existing project and it still happens with a new project.

Buffer at 64 and 512 still have the same issue

Is this a known problem?
