PT 12.7 on Win 10 Pro?
Currently running 12.5 on windows 10 pro (32gb ram, quad i7, etc..). It's working ok... but sometimes I do get a crash. Still learning what to kill in Windows. I like to stay current with things. How has your experience been with using 12.7 on win 10 pro, now? Should I go for it... or wait? Also, can I jump right to 12.7 or do I need to step up through each PT update?
Thanks! |

Re: PT 12.7 on Win 10 Pro?
Well only can help you on one post in your post.
When upgrading you can go straight to the current version. So from 12.5 to 12.7 is no problem. I'm running 12.5.1 and Win10PRO- really happy with it.

Re: PT 12.7 on Win 10 Pro?
There are known hardware buffer issues with W10 and HDX/HD Native. If you're on HDX or HD Native and use those specific hardware buffer settings, then stick with W7.

Off topic - I wonder if they plan on resolving that issue.

Re: PT 12.7 on Win 10 Pro?
I've been running 12.7 on Win 10 Pro since December. It runs fine for the most part. I get an occasional crash when either closing or opening a session. Not too often. It has never crashed during a session.

I hate to hijack but I believe it's relevant to the OP questions/concerns
Quick - did 12.7 reintroduce a Midi Timing issue? Are all your commits and midi bounces coming out lined up?

Running very smooth with Windows 10 Pro, and PT 12.7 vanilla here.
