Default Known Incompatibilities

What Known Incompatibilities are there with a AMD K6 machine?

Has anyone tried a AMD K6 with the Free PT's with any success and if NOT what problems are encountered with this processor?

Thanks

Hi, well I have am AMD-4-6.2 550 mhz. It doesn't work well in 16bit color mode, but as soon as I change it to 256 color mode it seems to run fine. Other things you might try is disabling your Ethernet card (if you have one) for that session. Hope this helps...

I have an AMDK62-500 system with 192 MB of RAM that ran PTF and loaded the DemoCheck successfully at first, but I lost my system drive to a head crash; set up the machine as a dedicated A/V editing system, and now have the -6008 error cropping up every time I try to load or create a project. Apparently there are certain things PTF wants to be set just so to work smoothly, but I haven't figured out what yet. Be prepared to tweak for awhile to get things running properly...

Apparently my previous hard drive had the current C-Media drivers installed, when I upgraded to the current set, my AMD K62-500 192MB system is now running PTF with no apparent problems. I don't recommend using the software MIDI playback, however, due to severe stuttering and latency problems. Looking forward to testing my Alesis QS8 keyboard with the serial port driver...
