Default Boot Drive/Audio drive -SCSI?

Hi Guys,

Just purchased a MAC (new to Mac, was a pc user)

G3-450Mhz/128MgRam/9.1 Gig SCSI U2W

I am trying to work out what is the best possible configuration to run the hard drive in.. these are my options:

1) Partition the SCSI into a boot partition for all my applications (including the 001), and have the remaining partition for tracking the Audio onto

or..

2) I have a couple of 2 gig IDE drives. I could put one into the G3 and use that for the bootable/application Drive, and leave the SCSI 9.1 gig completely for audio tracking..

Any thoughts on what would work best?

Also, should I keep the 001 application (ie, PTLE 5) on the bootable drive.. or at least on a separate partion from the drive that the audio will be tracked onto??

Thanks for any info!
(PS: I'm receiving my 001 later in the week, and wish to get the G3 setup as best I can before I get the 001

Jimi

Jim,

Sorry for the delay. I'd strongly recommend option 2.

I'd also suggest you keep the Pro Tools application on the boot drive.
