Performer .SD2 files (mac) convert to .wav (windows)
I received a DVD with a number of files on them that I want to import to an existing session. The files were created on a Mac using Performer. They are SD2 files. I am running 8.0 on a Windows machine. When I try to import the files, PT tells me that it can not read the files.
What can I do?

Re: Performer .SD2 files (mac) convert to .wav (windows)
try this
http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/...rt/sd2/wav.php or ask for the files in WAV format(DP can export as WAV as I trade files with my neighbor that runs DP, while I run LE.

Do you have Soundforge 10? I know that it will work with SD files but I don't know if there's any significant differences between SD and SD2. If it does just open in SF10 and re-save as .wav. |

Wave lab will also import "unknown " file types, You just tell it the bit and sample rate.

Re: Performer .SD2 files (mac) convert to .wav (windows)
I downloaded a program called "Switch" Runs about thirty bucks but it's easy to use and works very well. I had a couple hundred gigs of SD1 and SD2 files I needed to convert to .wav. It does a batch convert and saves all the new .wav files to the existing folder hierarchy.

Re: Performer .SD2 files (mac) convert to .wav (windows)
One more vote for sdtwowav
Switch and Riverpast didn't seem to recognize audio files recorded with a mac using PT 6.4. I believe they were SD2 files. sdtwowav converted them perfectly to wav for PT9 windows 7 (without having to add a suffix) Thanks, kdarbyshirebryant PS & BTW - my first round of conversion was not set to the proper bit depth .. after setting 16 to 24, things sounded so much more... bettah. |
