Mac g5 hd2 protools 8 dae error 1123

I'm trying to get a protools 8 hd 2 with a 96 i/o on a Mac 10.5.8, g5 dual core ppc.

Im getting the error "dae error 1123, TDM cable is not connected correctly. Please refer to the system installation guide"

I"ve tried reversing the flex cable with no luck.
Also tried running digitest with both flex configurations. Get the same error that the flex cable isn't correct.

any ideas? I'm thinking of removing the accel card and just use the core see if that helps, but obviously I'd rather have both cards working

ah I found another flex cable and it works!
