iLOK USB [SOLVED]

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking at getting the latest Pro Tools. I already run Sibelius, but I don't need an iLok usb to run it, so do I need an iLOk usb to run Pro Tools?

This information is not up front on the Avid site?

Plus, can anyone direct me to a video for installing the latest PT version on Windows?

Hey Rob - Pro Tools 2018.1 was just released last week and adds support for iLok Cloud. This is listed in the What's New section of the Pro Tools page. The Release Info KB has a link to the Installation Guide.

Correct. Please see the iLok Cloud section in the Pro Tools > What's New page or the blog. There's also an iLok Cloud FAQ. Hope this helps.

Well, I am super impressed so far with PT 12. I managed to subscribe and install with what looks like no issues, and no iLOk USB, just the cloud.

Now for learning it. Fortunately, I'm starting college next week and one of the subjects is PT 12, it should be a long, interesting and hopefully fruitful association.
