Default Powerbook 12\" as my second monitor?

Is it possible to use my 12" 1ghz powerbook as my second monitor? and if so, how?

I don't think that monitor will accept an external video signal.

Well Im sure he would have more uses for it other than just a monitor..it will be laptop/monitor when needed. That would be a good idea. Of course if you just needed a monitor what better than a 23" Apple display...yummy

2 17" displays are more real estate for cheaper.

You could do it, sort of. Here's how. Get a VGA, DVI, or ADC to composite adapter (depending on what monitor output you've got free) and a DV camcorder with analog inputs. Connect the camcorder to the laptop by firewire and the computer to the camcorder's analog input via the adapter. Open iMovie. Maximize it. Now you're using (most of) the powerbook's screen as a second (low resolution) monitor.
Is it a good idea? No.
Get a second monitor.
