Default 002R and OS9 ?

I have been told the 002r comes with a os9 version of pt that you can use the 002 on is this true? right now i have no desire to use osx as except for core audio i see no real advantage until i upgrade my cpu.

I have the 002R and it did not come with PT for OS 9. As far as I know, the 002R will only work with OSX. Kind of a bummer. If I'm wrong would somebody please let me know.

I'll will say this only once.

According to reliable sources (digidesign) 002r will only run on OSX.

I have a 400MHz G4(only) and enjoy the upgrade to X daily, CPU is no reason to wait IMO.

I have talked to people who claim they work in OS9 on a 002R but I have never seen it.
Digi says no but the 002 did so who knows.

The 002R does not work under OS9 - even if you use the 002 (fader pack) version of Pro Tools 5.3.2.

O.K. guys.

I got the os 9 software straight from DIGI and it does not work with the 002r. I've tried it personally. I repeat the 002r DOES NOT WORK with OS 9 at all. I wish i were wrong and I don't understand why they didn't adapt the 002 drivers to work with the 002r. Seems silly to lock out a whole bunch of potential customers for what reason? I dunno!

Sorry guys.
