Pro Tools Le 7.4 - How to connect USB controller

Hi,

I use pro tools in the studio to record but recently I got an Mbox micro to edit on my laptop. I was just wondering, is it possible to connect something like a Alesis IO2 to pro tools while using the Mbox micro to record and if it is how do I connect the usb device? Thanks in advance. I've been unable to find any information on this that works.
