Default Combining iTunes with Mbox 2..

Well as usual, something I though would be easy to do, seems to be difficult. I want to output my audio from iTunes to my Mbox 2. I've read the manuals saying that the only thing I need to do is to enable the "Safe Mode (waveOut)" option in quicktime preferences. I've done that, and the sound routes through my Mbox 2. The problem is that the sound gets chopped all the way.

Is it the audio device drivers that are incompatible with iTunes? or is it the quicktime version? I'm using the latest version of them both.

Thanks in advance!

Do you think my problem will get solved if I install an earlier version of quicktime?

iTunes version 6.0.5 made the trick. The strange thing was that when I installed the new version the "waveOut Safemode" was already selected. I had to disable it for it to work.
Thank you guys for the help.. I appreciate it.

Cheerz!
