Exactly!

And it isn't a "Bug" .. it is done on purpose so throwing around the term "Bug" has gotten too common here as soon as someone has an issue. Then it turns out it was user error or gear error so can we please try and stay away from saying somethings are Bugs when they aren't?

Easier to get real Bugs fixed if there are more clear labels about them. Thanks!

Not in the rules but it would be easier if we used other descriptions of these annoyances until we know ifthey are bugs or not.

I just upgraded today to 2018R7 and I also upgraded the Air bundle...then upgraded to 10.13.6 and the only issue i have had so far is a warning regarding the Mbox drivers being 32 bit (introduced in 10.13.4),,,

I got the same with my Steinberg UR44 driver.... High Sierra is going full 64bit in a coming future update.... I have turned off updates on my MBP.... their is a sup2 update to fix touchbar issues by the looks but I haven’t proceeded with it. Touchbar seems almost non-existent while PT is running.... not sure if Avid plan to do anything with it in future.

Can anyone tell me if I update to 10.13.6 from Sierra 10.12.6, which file format should I use? APFS? How will this effect my other drives? Recording, Sample Lib, etc.

Probably a clean install would be best?

Thanks

Not sure about the clean install - I did a direct upgrade and it worked just fine. The installation will automatically convert your startup drive to APFS, leaving the others untouched. You can however convert them to APFS afterwards if you want to, or just leave them in HFS+. I have converted all my drives to APFS.

You can also force the installer to stay in HFS+ by entering this command in the terminal:
Code:
/Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --converttoapfs NO
Keep in mind that Mojave requires APFS, so if I were you I would simply let the installer do its job and convert your startup disk to APFS.

Also, it makes absolutely no difference for Pro Tools whether it's on an APFS paritition or not.
