D-command refuses to record??
I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I just can't figure out What. My D-command transport does not go into record when I press rec and play together. I have my count-off activated, an audio channel (or instr. channel) in rec. arm. But it just goes into play mode. When I click the rec. button on screen and then play on screen, it does count off and record. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Re: D-command refuses to record??
Had the same problem's with our Dcontrol. The only workaround was to delete the Protools 8 preference.
Be careful, the Dcommand and Dcontrol don't have a separate file for keeping the controller preferences, so you loose them also, beside of-course your Protools Preferences. Hope Digi will solve this problem in a coming update, because it would also be very handy to take your own control preferences with you when you work in an other studio. Grz, Louis |

Re: D-command refuses to record??
Thanks Louis,
Indeed, deleting the preferences worked. I had to delete the HD8 prefs. separately (they weren't deleted with the digi prefs app.). Anyway, I guess it's a bug or so. Thanks again. |

Re: D-command refuses to record??
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread - got this problem with our D-Command system, and the helper app isn't clearing out the necessary prefs. Just to check, what should I be looking for and nuking?
Cheers! |

Re: D-command refuses to record??
Check out this thread - you need to be sure of what's happening when you trash your pref's.

Re: D-command refuses to record??
Thanks folks - after posting, I remembered that the prefs that need trashing are in the library folder in my home folder as opposed to the one on the root of the hard drive. All sorted now - just had to rescan ethernet, re-add, the D-Command modules, and then reset inputs 9-16 on my second 192 to Analog, as they had reset to digital.
Cheers! |
