Mostly because we really like the way PT handles audio Midi improvements are on the horizon. But having said that, the learning curve is compounded by old habits. By that I mean; whatever DAW you learn on will make any other DAW seem much harder and non-intuitive. As a Cubase user, I'm sure Pro Tools seems crappy to you. But as a Pro Tools user, I stare at the Cubase window and can't figure out much at all. That doesn't mean that Cubase is bad, it just means my brain is in sync with PT and everything else seems much worse than it actually is. That, and the fact that 90% of the studios around me run PT
