Default WAVES 3.5 warning !!!

I just downloaded waves 3.5. AAHHH. It took me awhile to figure it out but here is what I found. After installing all the updates. Protools would not launch at all. It get stuck on D-Verb. I removed it from DAE folder/plug-ins. Next try system froze again upon launching Protools. This time I got a DAE error type 10. Next reboot and launch it got stuck on loading soundreplacer plug-in. I removed it. After another restart Protools launches again and seems to be working fine. I cannot put D-Verb or Soundrepplacer back in the plug-in folder. Keeps crashing/freezing with DAE error type 10.

No problems launching here...Try checking your plugin updates folder to see if your're current.

Disappointment !!!!

Supertap (6 sec) still doesn't work ! even at 44.1
error: [not enough free DSP #7204] I was hoping to see a fix on this update.

Good news:

Mondo mod and Metaflanger work at 88.2/96
Ren verb only works on stereo tracks at 88.2/96

Hi There
Waves SuperTap 6 Seconds is Mix board only component.
Mix boards had the C type Chip that Super tap 6 seconds loaded on, and now the new HD boards do not have those chips so it is impossible to load those components.
Super tap Mod howeverm works on HD systems.
So if you have a session created by mix boards and you try to load it we could do special mapping that would open the Mod ST instead of the 6 seconds but the sound would be different.

Hi There

Please make sure:

You are using MacOS 9.1 or higher.
Enough memory is allocated to Pro tools.

Try reinstalling Waves-Trash Waves 3.5 Folder first and only then reinstall.

if you still crash-remove all other 3rd party plug ins and let me know .

Hi I am running 9.2.2 on a G4 867 with 1.15 gb ram. I trashed Waves 3.5 folder. Put only soundreplacer back in plug-ins list. Protools stops launching as soon as soundreplacer starts in loading. Sounds like an eternal spin on my internal drive. Could Waves have messed up the authorization ?

Ronen,

So are you saying supertap 6sec will Never work on HD ?

I miss it so much .

...not to mention not being able to open old mixes.

I feel like I'm in a X- file episode......I NEED MY SIX SECONDS BACK !

Other than that, I must admit that Waves has been way ahead of the curve on this HD / upgrade thing.

Uh DIGI, any word on echo farm ?

Working hard so that all Plugs work at least at 88.1/96 I hope? Otherwise many of us are still disappointed.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">No.
Waves 3.5 authorizations are the same as Waves 3.2 you did work with Waves 3.2 ?

Waves installer can not mess with authorizations since ant only installs binaries(it does noting with Pace).

The easies way to check it on your system is by removing Wavshell DAE 3.5 from the plug ins folder(you do not have to remove Waves 3.5 folder) and see if you can load Pro tools.
If you still pro tools still gets stack on start your other plug in have authorization problem.

Another Way to check it is to remove all the 3rd party-leave only Pro tools core plug ins plus Wavshell and see if you crash.
if not-keep adding plug ins until you find the problematic one.
